Unit Test

One theme that was in the story was reality vs. illusions this was a theme because the whole story was a dream. It was not real. He had died and counties to tell the story as if he was alive. Inside the story there are flashbacks and imagery until the end of the story. Another big idea is taking your own path. Because Farquhar  listen to the man who came to his home knowing that if he went to the north and mess up he would be hung to death he then took his own path.

Themes and symbols

Blog for a rose for Emily
A theme that stood out to me in a Rose for Emily was gossiping. Gossiping stood out to me the most as a theme because throughout the hole entire story all people did was talked about Emily in her life. There story was basically told from the towns point of view. The evidence that I have to support this is in the being of the story the hole town went to Emily’s funeral at her house not to give there Congolese’s but  to be nosy and see how she lived  because nobody had been inside of her house for teen years. From that point on the story begun the town told what they thought they knew about Ms Emily only what they hard.
There were many symbols in a Rose for Emily but one that really caught my eye was the color yellow witch symbolizes happiness. Yellow stood out to me because the whole time in the story the town made it seem like Ms. Emily was never happy that she was a bitter old woman who lived alone but yet she was well respect by them. I think the author added the color yellow as a theme in the story to switch it up to show that it wasn’t allow that it seems with her. Also to show how much the people thought they knew about her.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf

The Boy Who Cried Wolf is one of my favorite child hood stories because its lets you know that you should always tell the truth. For example in the story the boy cried that there was a wolf and the people came running and there was not a wolf. Then the wolf really came and the boy cried out again but nobody came because he had cried out falsely so many times. Another example of crying wolf is if a girl says that somebody voulated her and they didn’t, so when someone really voulated her nobody believed her and she was stuck dealing with the emotional scars on her on. It hunted her; she was unable to move on with her life. So it is always good to be honest because you never know what will happen whether it is good or bad. Everyone needs someone to be there for them in to belive there story.
